Do you know if the use of Youtube on your network is slowing down business critical applications?
Below is a customer network before and after Youtube shaping. Youtube was using up to 3Mbps of bandwidth before shaping, and was later shaped to a maximum of 512kbps.
The net effect is:
* Your important applications start performing a whole lot better (because there is less congestion and less packet loss on the network)
* Non-business applications like Youtube continue to work just as well as they did in the past (or you can block them altogether if you dont want them on the network at all)
It’s about time that network visibility and control was made this simple.
