Sinefa announces the release of Sinefa for Aggregation Points

Microsoft APC, Gold Coast, Australia, 5 September 2016. Melbourne-based network technology company Sinefa is delighted to announce the release of Sinefa for Aggregation Points (Sinefa AP). Sinefa AP provides visibility of traffic flowing to and from aggregation points such as network cores, hosting points and data centres.

Chris Siakos, Founder of Sinefa, said “Recent data indicates that most companies are embracing the cloud, but only 13% consider they have successfully migrated, so there is a long way to go. Sinefa AP is a critically important new product because we are finding most network performance issues are caused by users flooding networks with traffic. This traffic is often related to cloud migration or data synchronisation issues; or it is recreational; all of which compromises mission critical applications. With Sinefa AP, network providers can now show their customers how they are using their bandwidth, enabling them to address issues that are impacting network performance. Service providers equipped with Sinefa AP will be able to enhance service levels and reduce customer service costs”.

The first customer for Sinefa AP is Cloud Plus, based in Brisbane and founded by Chief Executive Officer, Jules Rumsey. Cloud Plus is a leading provider of Private Cloud Solutions in Australia. They operate their own Next Generation MPLS Network and cloud services infrastructure and deliver highly integrated solutions for clients and partners.

Mr Rumsey said “Sinefa AP is an important new product that will allow us to give our clients granular visibility of network utilisation without having to deploy equipment at their premises. As it is cloud-based and multi tenanted, we can manage our entire client base from just one screen. This is a highly cost effective solution that we will leverage to further enhance the industry-leading service levels we deliver to our clients. It will allow us to provide application layer detail for traffic on our network, which will assist both our partners and our Network Operations Team to identify and resolve issues more quickly, saving time and reducing cost. It will also further differentiate our network and help to generate additional business through existing and new partners. The team at Sinefa have worked with us to understand our business and tailor a product to suit the needs of service providers. We are excited to be the foundation customer of Sinefa AP and look forward to the benefits it will offer to Cloud Plus, our partners and our clients”.

Mr Siakos added “with rapid adoption of cloud services by Australian businesses, it is essential that their performance is protected over the WAN. Recreational use, data migration or synchronisation issues threaten network performance. Sinefa is an ideal solution, which will enhance the delivery and performance of Cloud services”.

Sinefa AP requires KVM or VMware as a Hyper Visor; or it can be deployed as a hardware probe. In environments greater than 10Gbps, it is recommended that Sinefa AP run on a dedicated appliance. Data related to a given customers links can be segmented, providing a dedicated view of data for that customer via a secure online portal or static reports.

SINEFA joins HEWLETT PACKARD ENTERPRISE OpenNFV Partner Program

World’s easiest traffic visibility & control now available for NFV and vCPE

Melbourne, Australia, June 29th 2016. Melbourne-based software company Sinefa is delighted to announce that it has joined the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) OpenNFV Partner Program, a global ecosystem of independent software vendors (ISVs), network equipment providers (NEPs), system integrators, and service providers. HPE OpenNFV helps service providers launch new services faster, easier and more cost-effectively through the virtualisation of network functions.

Sinefa’s unique capabilities bring complete customer facing application visibility and control to networks. Our technology gives network managers the ability to monitor, troubleshoot and optimise network performance by providing real-time analytics and control on the applications and traffic that are using the network.

Sinefa has satisfied the technology validation required to be accepted into HPE’s OpenNFV ecosystem and is now available for immediate deployment. Service Providers (SP’s) considering migration to NFV architecture can capitalise on the unique advantages offered by Sinefa, even as they develop their NFV deployment strategy.  MSPs considering vCPE projects to virtualise branch networking can leverage Sinefa’s visibility & control function to provide detailed traffic analytics and ensure a consistent and high application experience for users.

Sinefa’s probe is available either as a virtual appliance or physical hardware.  It offers an incredibly fast zero-touch deployment and is fully automated. Sinefa’s probes cover a wide variety of deployment technologies to provide 100% traffic visibility coverage.  Probes are also available for private and public clouds in Amazon’s AWS and Microsoft’s Azure.  Sinefa offers an intuitive cloud based interface with a subscription service making it easy to use the service as required.

Beyond the visibility and control function, Sinefa collects a wealth of traffic and performance analytics, which it makes available via a restful API.  SPs and MSPs can leverage the APIs to enable simple integration to single pane of glass interfaces or to add further intelligence to the data collected by Sinefa.

“Sinefa is very excited to be partnering with a leading global network specialist like HPE. We look forward to bringing our unique technology to the HPE OpenNFV Partner Program.  We view this relationship as an important catalyst to enabling every business around the world to know and control how their network is being used” said Chris Siakos at Sinefa.

“We are delighted to welcome Sinefa to our HPE OpenNFV Program. Sinefa provides customer facing visibility and control into network performance by providing a path to full NFV enablement and welook forward to working with the team,” said Werner Schaefer, VP Sales & GTM, Communications Solutions Business, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Sinefa adds ASX listed software distributor, rhipe, to its global distribution panel

Melbourne, Australia - June 10, 2016 - Sinefa has taken an important strategic step in its market development by signing a distribution agreement with ASX-listed software-licensing distributor, rhipe. The agreement will see Sinefa's network traffic software technology made available across Asia Pacific region (APAC).

Sinefa provides a combination of traffic visibility and control, which allows network managers to identify problems and give priority to mission-critical applications, saving time for both the network managers, and end users.

rhipe’s chief strategy officer, Chris Sharp, said the partnership with Sinefa is timely given companies are struggling with network performance issues and need deeper network-intelligence solutions from channel partners.

“As companies migrate more applications and devices to the cloud, and the virtualization of networks continues to drive demand for better visibility and control, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) need to be able to deliver network services to customers quickly, profitably and with the best possible quality,” said Sharp.

According to Sinefa’s Marketing Director Peter Russell, this subscription-software distribution agreement with rhipe is pivotal in broadening market opportunities for the Melbourne-based software company.

“rhipe is fast establishing itself as the pre-eminent software distributor in Asia Pacific, and it offers vendors like us a fast and efficient way to market,” Russell said. “Sinefa’s primary focus has been building partnerships in Australia; now the opportunity is to upscale the company’s exposure to the Asia Pacific region.”

Russell continued: ”rhipe is building primary relationships and integrating core purchasing functions with resellers in a wider geographical region than Sinefa can currently reach. Resellers don’t want to deal with many individual vendors, so it makes sense for them to go to one distributor to purchase their software, and receive one standard invoice for everything.”

Sinefa helps businesses save money by dramatically reducing the time and costs of troubleshooting network performance issues. It helps IT providers to see problems as they arise and address them before they become customer complaints. In a Cloud First world, this capability is critical.

Says Chris Sharp: “rhipe partners can now generate extra revenue from the sale of Sinefa services by helping them protect their customers’ business networks. This is both a fantastic capability, as well as a fantastic revenue opportunity for partners. At rhipe we believe our core proposition is that we help Cloud partners across APAC make money, save costs and reduce risk in their businesses. Sinefa is a solution that helps them do all three.”

Sinefa is also available as part of rhipe’s best-of-breed Indirect Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program, alongside a number of targeted business solutions from innovative ISVs that can help partners build differentiated offerings to SMB and Enterprise customers. Sinefa is an excellent addition to rhipe’s indirect CSP portfolio.

Melbourne, Australia:  U.S.-based company, TOURtech, and Australian-based company, Sinefa, have announced a partnership to integrate Sinefa’s technology into TOURtech’s Event WiFi platform. Sinefa will provide TOURtech with better ability to control network traffic and ensure application performance at their event sites.

James Berry, TOURtech’s Field Services Manager, says, “We provide temporary Event WiFi networks to the biggest concerts and corporate events in the U.S. including Coachella,” which boasted of 99,000 patrons in a single weekend. “With hundreds of connection points and thousands of devices, these large-scale networks can get heavily congested. Sinefa providing us the ability to prioritize key applications – such as point of sale system, Square – from our headquarters is a major plus.”

TOURtech has been impressed with the Sinefa technology and team, with the proof of concept taking just four weeks.  As an approved reseller, TOURtech will also be extending the use of Sinefa to permanent networks in the U.S. Berry adds, “TOURtech is delighted with Sinefa’s technology and ease of deployment, which is ideal for our crew. It will make a great deal of difference to the performance of the  Event WiFi networks we deliver for patrons and event organizers.”

Chris Siakos, founder of Sinefa, says, “This is a great opportunity for us to help TOURtech improve their service. It really highlights Sinefa’s ability to control networks and deliver performance, even in the most intense environments.”
